How To Create a Squeeze Page in HTML

The number 1, is the heading of your squeeze page, you can change it to free video, or free report, free training, or anything you need. Just change the black letters.
The number 2, you need to rewrite it, if you want you can leave it as it is, here is just you put what is your offer is going to do to your prospects, how to lose 10 pounds in two weeks, how to make your dog stop barking, etc. Short and sweet.
The number 3, here is your call to action, you can leave it as it is or you can change it to something like enter your email address so that I can send you the training.
The number 4, is what adds people to your Aweber account, just take the unique id you got from Aweber in step 2, paste it between the  ”    ” without leaving a space.
The number 5 and number 6, These two links are the same, both of them will redirect your prospects after they click the submit button. It can be the thank you page or an affiliate link, for me it is an affiliate link to a Clickbank product.
The number 7, is the big button they have to click to watch the video, you can change it to something like Watch the video, Instant Access, or anything you like.
After editing those 7 spaces, just click on save.

Step 6: (Optional) Change the background image.

Inside that folder, there is another folder called img, if do you want to change it, just go to a free image site like https://pixabay.com/ find a cool image you like copy and paste it in the img folder, change the name of the image to background.jpg.
Step 7: Upload the files to your hosting
After editing the HTML file and changing the background image, now it is time to upload the files into your hosting.
The first thing you need to do is to zip the file, just right click it and then add it as a zip file, then login to your hosting account, go to the file manager, select your domain, find the directory where you have your files saved, click on upload, it will take less than 2 minutes when it is done just click on go back to your domain name.
upload
After that, you need to right-click the uploaded folder and then click on extract here.
If your file name was workfromhome, then open a new browser and type yourdomainname.com/workfromhome
for example mine is https://passiveincomejet.com/workfromhome/

Final words

That is it, this is how you make an HTML squeeze page. If you did everything in the right way you should see your squeeze page, opt-in using your email to see if it will redirect you to the affiliate offer or thank you page.

10 List Building Tips

10 List Building Tips

Make Your Content Relevant

Content always a king, especially when you want to attract prospects using free traffic, the big mistake that most people make is to produce content that no one wants to read.

You need to produce high-quality content which is relevant to your niche, if you are in the manifestation niche, just find out what your prospects want.

This is easily overcome, just ask them, if you are using Facebook or any social media you can ask questions to your friends or followers about what type of content they want and start producing it.

You can use a tool like Semrush to do your marketing research and use the results you find as a guide to creating the content your prospects want. Do not guess.

Add More Subscription Boxes To Your Blog.

This sounds simple enough, but few people actually do it. If you have a 100-page blog, you should have 100 newsletters subscribe boxes on your website.

You can integrate a subscribe box just about anywhere on a blog. You could add one just before an article starts, in the middle of an article, or even at the end of the article.
As long as you have good content on your website, you won’t have a problem getting people to subscribe to your email list.

I have another article in which I explain different places on your blog where you can add your sign-up form. Read it here.

Offer something great to incentivize people to join your email list

I have seen many people who have option forms in their social media and blogs with just subscribe to my list for more updates.

This is better than having nothing, but it is not enough, you need to offer your subscribers something valuable to them, find out what is the problem they have, and offer them a solution for free in exchange for their email.

For example, If I was in a manifestation niche I will create a report with 7 steps to manifest anything in life, then I will offer it for free in exchange for the email address.

This way people will have a valid reason to give you their email and you will have a valid reason for asking it from them.

Use Pop Up

Pop-ups are still one of the effective ways to get subscribers. There are many types of pop-ups you can create but for me, the exit pop-ups work the best.

I prefer the exit popup. So, when someone leaves a page on your website, they get a popup window asking them to subscribe to your newsletter.

This can get annoying so what you want to do is use a popup that allows you to tell if a person has already seen your popup before, so it won’t keep showing.

I use the Sumone plugin to create these popups.

Use a Squeeze Page

You can create a simple squeeze page, the main function of this page is just to collect emails, you can include the link to the squeeze pages inside your blog posts and when your readers click those links, they will go to the squeeze page and have a chance to opt-in.

There are many free WordPress plugins that you can use to create a squeeze page, if you can code you can create using HTML or PHP, or you can use a page builder.

I use Clickfunnels to build all my squeeze pages, as I think they are the page builder in the market.

Here is an example of the page I built using Clickfunnels.

Use A Paid And Well Known Autoresponder

I can’t stress this enough. Don’t use free Autoresponders or mailing lists! These services can go down at any time and are not professional looking at all.

Plus they also get used to spamming and are abused badly.  I use Aweber and never had any problems at all. They offer all I need

Network All You Can

Everywhere you go, network with people. You never know exactly who you might run into. Let as many people as you can know about what you do and that your the best at it.

Going to seminars and trade events is a great way to network with people in your markets and a great way to start building relationships with key online businesses.

You never know who might be able to help you with something down the track.

Take advantage of your social network

This is the part of networking, communicate with people who are in your social media circle, ask them questions, provide answers to their questions, these people will start to know and like you (probably you will piss off some of them but it is ok), and some of these people will subscribe to your email list.

You need to make sure that in all your social media you add links to your blog and a squeeze page so that people can check out your content and subscribe if they like it.

Give Your Newsletter Personality

What makes you different from any of the other newsletters out there in your market? 1 thing and 1 thing only.

YOUR PERSONALITY.

Don’t be a lifeless drone, add some spark to your writing, be funny, be witty, be controversial, just don’t be boring!

Tell a story. Stories are a great way to get people hooked before they realize you
are actually selling them anything at all.

Don’t Buy Mass Email Lists

There are some people or companies that will contact you in order to sell you a list of people who are interested in your niche. In theory, this sounds like a good idea, for few dollars you get thousands of emails from people who are interested in your niche.

The problem with this is that first, it is illegal, you have no idea how these emails were collected, what if they were hacked from an FBI database? you can get into deep trouble very quickly.

Another reason that I do not recommend buying mass email lists is that these people in those lists do not know you, when you start sending them unsolicited messages, they can report you, this will hurt your reputation and the autoresponder service with close your account, it is not worth it, do not do it.

5 places to Put Email Opt-in Forms On Your Website to Grow Your List

An email list is the most important asset you can have as an online entrepreneurs, every people will tell you that the money is on the list but very few people will tell you how to build one.

If you have a blog and you’re getting some traffic to it, you can easily turn your blog to a list building machine by just adding email option forms in some places on your blog.

In this post I am going to give tell you 5 places you can put your email opt-in forms on your website to grow your list, I tested all of them and they work.

There are 5 main places that I like to add a email opt-in forms :

At the bottom of an article

I love putting my opt-in form at the bottom of my articles, if you read this post until the end you will find one (and please subscribe to get updates on new content).

If someone was on my website reading an article on how to make passive income online, I could add my signup box to the bottom of that article. Ideally, I would relate it to the article the visitor has just finished reading. Most people who visit this blog want to make money online, becoming affiliate marketers and build passive income, I would offer them something in that line.

You don’t need to buy a new plugin for this, I did for free inside my ConverKit account , the most autoresponders will allow you to add this type of form by using their free WordPress integration.

5 places to Put Email Optin Forms On Your Website to Grow Your List

As a popover

This is where the signup form appears over the top of the page after the visitor has been on the page for a certain period of time or if the visitor is trying to leave your blog. You probably find them annoying in everyday life, but they are extremely effective.

There are a lot of paid plugins that can help you to build this, but for me, I use the free version of Sumone to build those pop over and there are very effective.

popover

It is the same message as the opt-in form below article the only difference is that this one targets visitors who are trying to leave my blog or after they have been on my blog for a long time.

In the sidebar of my website

I don’t use this on my main website, but I do it in my niche blogs, the reason I removed here is that I wanted to have only two opt-in pages and it is less effective than the first two.

This is less effective because it tends to be outside the flow of where a visitor is looking, but it can be a good solution for some pages.

As a squeeze page

A squeeze page is a special page where the sole focus is on getting someone to sign up. It could just be a signup form and nothing else.

squeeze page

I build my squeeze page using a funnel builder called Clickfunnels.

Feature Box

Your home page is one of the best places to have a prominent opt-in form. It’s the most visited page on your site, which means a well-designed form with a clear call to action can be very powerful for your business.

One of the most common ways to do this is through a feature box. A feature box is a full-width email opt-in form that focuses your reader’s attention on one clear call to action.

The best feature boxes offer something to the reader, like a toolkit, ebook, email course, or video series. Each person who considers joining your list has many alternatives to your business… make sure to capture their interest by being valuable.

When I started this blog I had one but I had to remove because I just want two have two places to subscribe to the popup box and then after post, but this strategy works like charm.

I learned this from a guy named Brendan Mace in his course 10x commissions, he uses it in his own blog as you can see in the image below.
