How To Get Initial Traffic To Your Blog

After setting up a blog and start adding some content to it, you need to send some initial traffic, the main reason for this is that search engine traffic will take anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 months to start to kick in.

6 months is a long time to wait and most bloggers if they do not make money in their first three months they tend to quit. The solution to this is to send traffic using your social media. In this post, I am going to share with you how to send initial traffic to your blog.

How To Get Initial Traffic To Your Blog

Figure out your primary traffic source.

You need to figure out which traffic source you want to focus on as your primary traffic source. Keep in mind that this doesn’t mean you have to ignore other avenues, just that you’re going to spend the majority of your traffic focusing on your primary source.

Why do you need to focus on a single source?

The main reason for focusing on a single traffic source is so you don’t spread yourself too thin. When you put a small amount of effort into a lot of sources, you won’t get much traffic from any of them.

But when you focus most of your efforts on a single source, you have the potential to dramatically increase the traffic you receive from that source, and you can still get traffic from other places, too.

Some of the traffic sources you might consider include:

  • Facebook
  • Pinterest
  • Instagram
  • Tiktok
  • YouTube

You should ideally focus your efforts on whichever traffic source is currently sending you the most traffic. If you’re not already getting much traffic, then it makes sense to research these different sources to find out which one seems to have the highest density of your demographic.

If your market is people who like to cook, try Pinterest or YouTube. If your audience is mostly young, fashion-forward women, Tiktok or Instagram might be good choices.

Facebook is a good all-around traffic source with nearly every demographic represented. Do some research and try to find out where your market tends to hang out and focus on the most likely choice.

You can always switch gears later, but try to commit to putting your best effort into your first chosen source for at least a month, because it can sometimes take a little while to get going.

Here’s another way to generate targeted traffic to your blog quickly and easily:

You are going to use the power of Facebook to generate a lot of traffic to your blog and lead capture page (also it is called the squeeze page). just follow these 5 steps and you will quickly see a massive improvement to your blog traffic.

Step 1: Create a Facebook profile

The first step is a very simple one, create a new Facebook profile for your business or use the current one if that suits you. Add really information to it including your profile photo ( people like to interact with other people, not faceless profiles).

Step 2: Add links to your profile

Now you have a profile, make sure you add at least two links, one to your blog and another one to your squeeze page to collect leads.

Step 3: Find 5 to 10 groups related to your niche.

Just type your main keyword, for example, if you have a blog about the law of attraction, type that, then click on the group icon, join 2 or 3 per day, if you join many of them at the same time facebook might ban your account.

Step 4: Interact and add active members as friends

You are not going to spam the groups, they will kick you out (unless the group is for spamming), all you need to do is first introduce yourself each time you get added to the group, participate in group discussions, ask questions and provide answer and tips.

Some people with start noticing you, they will start visiting your profile and visiting your site and squeeze page.

Some they will even inbox you to ask questions and figure out what do you do, send them to your blog or squeeze page.

Another important thing is to add all people who interact with you as friends on Facebook, since these people are proven to have an interest in your niche, all you can do is to offer some tips and post them on your profile with links to your blog and squeeze page.

If you do this every day for one hour, you can make a full-time income within 6 months just by doing this, and if you blog daily and the search engine traffic kicks in your income will double after that period.
